Taipei Trip (12-16 Nov 2010) Day 3, Part 2

Okie, here is Day 3 part 2. Previously I had an entry where I wrote about Long San Temple and Taiwan Storyland. After we complete everything, it was approximately around 3pm, we went to Taipei Main Station to buy pineapple tarts and tai yang ping from Li Yi, head back to hotel to put them down, have a rest before heading out again. Cuz both dw and my feet hurt so badly from the intensive walking we have been doing for the past few days.

After the rest… it was ximending before we head to taipei’s very famous SHILING NIGHT MARKET!!!!

Accompanied dw look for stuff to eat and he wanted to eat this goose meat noodle. i didnt eat, cuz i wanted to eat ice cream instead.

Its like fishball noodle with goose meat. I never eat, me not daring yo.

This is the ice cream shop that i was AIMING since the very first time i step into ximending. its right in front of one of the MRT exit, which i cannot remember. anywayits bring red doorfront is very obvious to find. the icecream super yum. faint! i wanna go there to eat again liao la!!! me loggin into singaporeair.com already la. book flight first.

Cold Stone Creamery

There were a lot of favours to choose from and each one of it has a sweetness level underneath its image for you to judge, if you wan something super sweet, just go for the 4 or 5 stars one.

The queue was pretty long, q-up for approximately 20min before its our turn.

I had peanut butter chocolate.

Dw had strawberry shortcake. so weird right both of us. usually girls will prefer strawberry favours for icecream, but i prefer chocolate, anyway it all depends on my mood for that day, but dw is definitely a strawberry fan.

Enjoying lovely icecream, having a window view, people watching, all so wonderful. 🙂

Next it was shiling night market! first thing we saw is the shiok nachos grill potato! this time round its fried, but it was super shiok! check the below photos out, remember it cuz you must go and eat it when you are there.

Its call prince cheese (nachos) potato.

The butch that is frying the potato. see she so F O C U S! lol

The ingredients. If i’m not wrong you get to choose what you wan. We took the “everthing-in” one. Anyway this is so shiok, i wanna go back to taipei again!!!

shiling night market. i manage to snap a shot where there isnt much of a crowd.

We walked one big round in shilin before we found this. actually its pretty easy cuz its very near shilin mrt. we dropped of one stop earlier, becuz i got info that its actually better to drop one stop earlier. anyway its the same. still you will need to walk la and the night market is SO BIG!

Not that fantastic leh. dunno why, maybe i wasnt hungry. I felt the one in singapore even nicer. but it was seriously big!

streets full of people and SHOPS. its like SHOPS SHOPS AND MORE SHOPS! walk into another small lane and THERE ARE MORE SHOPS! pengz! talk about shopping heaven, bugis village is like… 1/50 of it?

Anyway dw was really tired, so we headed back to our hotel pretty early and here is a view from the train station platform. LOOK AT THE CRAZY CROWD! goodness gracious!

We loiter around ximending before heading back to our hotel. bought some supper back. cakes and grass jelly on the way back to the hotel. oh one thing great about the hotel, the street that its at, has got alot of shops selling food and alot of shops selling COSTUME. ya u name it they have it, the popular one at that time was santarina, cuz it was year end. and its like i will pass by every shop and see one red satarina dress there for sale. and there were 2 breakfast cafe! shiok right! 2 leh! its like… miss hotel breakfast nvm, just eat breakfast there.

The cake at this shop is LOVELY. i had it for 2 days. this was the first day. i had tiramisu and dw had this strawberry sponge cake.

grass jelly. shiok shiok. i love the oriental antique sofa in my hotel room, everything i will sit there and watch tv and take photos of things i bought or eat stuff there. like my house like that. shiok.

Things i got for that day. not much la. cuz no clothes for me to buy really, all winter clothings. the brown bag was a gift for my aunt. long gan meat for my granny.

yup. thats all.. tomorrow will be an entry on….. one of my favourite day. beitou hot spring! yippy!
